Hi, I’m Mini. I’m a native Mandarin speaker based in Colorado, helping children, teens, and adults build confidence through practical, engaging lessons.
About Teacher Mini
Hi, I’m Mini. I grew up in Jilin, China, and now call Colorado home. Living between Chinese and American cultures has taught me that language is more than vocabulary — it is how we connect with family, culture, and everyday life.
I have more than 10 years of Mandarin teaching experience in both China and the United States, and I currently teach part-time at Bohua Chinese School in Boulder. Over the years, I’ve taught American children, bilingual families, adopted children from China, travelers, and adults learning Mandarin for work or family. My lessons are warm, practical, and personal, with a focus on helping students feel comfortable speaking Mandarin step by step.
Because I live in a multicultural family myself, I understand how meaningful it can be for children, parents, travelers, and adult learners to connect with Chinese language and culture in a real-life way.
Mandarin is more than a language. It can be a window into culture, family, and the wider world.
Mandarin at Home
Language becomes meaningful when it is part of real life. Here is a joyful Chinese New Year song from Mini's family in Colorado, sharing a little piece of Chinese language and tradition at home.
